Anyone who has had a baby knows they are expensive! After five years of being a family of three, a new baby in our house means an increase in expenses. Plus, less time to do, well, everything! Watch the video below to hear how saving money helps our family to live better. A full transcript of the video is provided as well.

Hello! This is Melanie Edwards from ModernMami™.com and 40weeks Plus. And today I wanted to share with you some information regarding Walmart’s Every Day Low Prices. As you might know, I am a Walmart Mom; I recently joined their program, which I’m very excited about. Walmart is a store that I’ve always shopped at. It’s pretty much where I do the majority of my grocery shopping, as well as household items. And I’ve always found the lowest prices there compared to some of the other stores. Even my mom will agree that she shops there as well because of the fact that it’s where we find the lowest prices.

So, how does saving money and shopping at Walmart make your life better?

I think that the reason it helps us to live better, at least in our family, is the convenience factor and the fact that it removes a lot of stress. We’re able to go to Walmart and do all of our shopping there, get everything we need there. And recently, with the addition to our family, our baby boy, you know…there’s increased expenses in our household. So, anytime that we can save money, is a great thing. And then, of course…anytime we can save time, with us being so busy between work, our daughter who’s five, now the baby, and of course blogging, and all kinds of other family commitments, you know…time is of the essence. So, if we can save time, if we can save money, then our family is better for it.

Saving money does help you to live better in the long run.

How do you think that saving money helps you to live better? I would love to hear your thoughts; doesn’t have to be specifically about Walmart, but just in general about how saving money helps your family to live better or helps you to live better. I’d love to hear those thoughts! So, go ahead and share them with us in the comments section. And, again, this is Melanie from ModernMami™.com and 40weeks Plus.

Thanks!

34 Weeks Pregnant

Pregnancy

As I write this, I am dealing with some contractions. Fake ones…I think. It’s been happening a lot recently. Every so often, I get the tight feeling, the pressure, and the overall discomfort. It makes for an interesting walk, actually. I suppose my body is preparing for what’s to come. We’re only a few weeks [...]

Dealing with Braxton Hicks? Drink More Water!

Pregnancy

Exactly one week ago, I began to get cramps, pains, and overall discomfort. I have been dealing with Braxton Hicks contractions for a few weeks now, something that took some getting used to since I didn’t really experience them with my first pregnancy. But, these pains were different. They were happening more often and hanging [...]

More Relaxed the Second Pregnancy?

Pregnancy

I always heard that on your second pregnancy, and those thereafter, you tend to be way more relaxed. That is, you’re not stressing every little detail of your pregnancy or the baby. You’re not as paranoid and things don’t have to be “perfect.” I find myself in that situation. I am now 24 weeks pregnant [...]

Protecting a Pregnant Belly – Should I Even Worry About This?

Pregnancy

One of my main worries about a second pregnancy is the worry that my daughter may accidentally hit my pregnant belly. This may seem like a silly fear, but the fact is that my baby girl still likes to climb up on my lap or crawl on top of me when we’re cuddling. And she’s [...]

Oh Pollen…How I Hate You

life

Oh my God people. I need some help. I’ve been having a horrible case of allergies this past week. Sneezing, watery/itchy eyes, scratchy throat…you name it. I’m sure many of you have been dealing with it as well as I’ve seen just about everyone I know complaining about how bad this allergy season is so [...]

Are You Pregnant Yet?

Fertility

When we decided to set up this blog to share our progress on trying to conceive and eventually document our pregnancy, we knew that we’d be opening our lives up more than we were used to. I knew that being public about us trying to have a baby would result in questions about whether or [...]
