It’s a little surreal to look at my daughter who turns five years old today and know that at this time tomorrow, I’ll be holding a newborn. It’s also very exciting. Tomorrow morning, we’ll be heading to the hospital to prepare for the birth of our baby boy that afternoon. I am nervous, excited, anxious, and any other feeling you can imagine. My mind is racing thinking about everything and how things will turn out. I have lists everywhere to help me remember those last-minute details that need to get done tonight plus everything we need to take with us. And yet, I know everything will fall into place and turn out fine.
As you can imagine, life is about to get very hectic. I have all intentions of maintaining this blog updated with our journey from pregnancy into parenting two children. I am interested in how the transition from one to two children works out for us. There may be times when I’m unable to update as much as I’d like, particularly in the beginning while we adjust, but I’m confident that I will find a new rhythm quickly.
In the meantime, please check out ModernMami.com for some great guest posts from bloggers you may know. While I’m on maternity leave, there will be posts on numerous topics, such as managing the busy holiday season, tips for working moms, and perspectives on parenting and Latino culture.
Looking forward to having you along for this new phase of our journey!
